Civic Towers and Civic Towers Senior had been deeply neglected for decades and were in need of extensive upgrades and capital investment. Redwood developed a meaningful renovation plan to revitalize these critical community assets, including new impact resistant exterior façade and windows, new roofing systems, new life safety systems, upgraded security and mechanical systems, including full elevator modernizations, and complete common area and unit renovations.

In the midst of the renovation, the community and project were severely impacted by Hurricane Irma, and despite the extensive damage caused by the storm, Redwood and its partners doubled down on their commitment to preserving these properties. Despite the increased costs and delays attributable to the hurricane, the community today provides high-quality affordable housing to families and seniors in Miami.
