Originally constructed in 1918 as stylish apartments and later converted into a popular hotel in 1938, The Porter was converted into affordable senior housing in the 1980s and was in need of a meaningful capital investment. Redwood partnered with the local community to gain the support needed to enact an environmentally conscious and historically significant redevelopment to restore this historic landmark with more than 100 years of history to its former glory while providing a high-quality, service enriched living environment with modern-day amenities to the low-income seniors of Lansing.

Admiralty Apartments, a mixed-use historically significant property on Port Townsend Bay, was partially condemned after storms damaged its structure. Redwood sponsored an environmentally focused redevelopment that included rebuilding the property’s pilings and brick masonry façade.
